Current Community Projects

Building Toilets for Moree Basic School

Our flagship project for 2025 is to construct a much-needed toilet block for Moree Basic School, where 700 students currently share just one pit latrine. This inadequate facility poses significant hygiene and health challenges.

We aim to complete the new block of toilets in alignment with UN World Toilet Day on November 19, 2025.

Supporting Local Schools

We are committed to improving education in the Asebu Traditional Area. Recent engagements with Moree Basic School allowed us to connect with students and teachers to assess their challenges. Key initiatives include:

  • Teacher Training & Mentorship: Enhancing teaching skills through workshops.

  • Learning Resources: Providing textbooks, equipment, and other learning materials.

  • School Libraries: Establishing libraries to promote literacy and a love of learning.

Our efforts aim to create an inspiring and supportive environment for the community’s children.

Community Engagement and Development

Friends of Asebu PAV works hand-in-hand with local residents, empowering them through access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Key focus areas include:

  • Healthcare Projects: Supporting clinics and public health campaigns.

  • Clean Water Initiatives: Improving community water supply.

  • Public Infrastructure: Building school and public toilets to improve hygiene.

We are immensely grateful for the endorsement of Amanfi VII, Paramount Chief of the Asebu Traditional Area, whose support strengthens our ability to bring these initiatives to life.
